The Winter Experience
Tens of
thousands of people come to see the Great State of Alaska every summer!
Many ask what our winters are like. We would like to invite you to come
see for yourself what we enjoy after everyone goes back to the warmth
of the Lower 48.
For the
2003/2004 season we are
offering the REAL ALASKAN
EXPERIENCE: Ice Fishing and
snow machine tours on the Kenai Peninsula.Whether you are an
experienced ice fisherman or you are wondering what we are talking
about, you won’t believe what we can catch through the icy waters of
our thousands of frozen lakes. Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Arctic
Char, Kokanee and Northern Pike are all over this beautiful winter
wonderland. With remote fish camps set, your adventure will begin with
scenic snowmobile rides to the best fishing available under ice. Our
cozy, wood heated wall tents are the perfect touch to this rustic and
exciting adventure. Snowmobile tours are taken in the renowned Caribou
Hills. As you enter the high country the scenery explodes into a breath
taking landscape of two mountain ranges and most of Cook Inlet.
Guided
King Salmon Charters are also available in the colder months in both
Seward and Homer. This is a very productive fishery and these feeder
Kings are absolutely wonderful at the table.

meals many of our guests will go into Soldotna for groceries for
packing lunches and then into Soldotna each evening for a nice sit down
meal. You do not need to leave the resort, as many do all their
cooking in their cabins and relax by the fire and enjoy the great river
views. Rental cars are a must, as you will need then for
shopping, sightseeing and meeting the boats in different areas.
